Day 1 – Immersive Adventure: Exploring the Scenic Beauty of the Apurímac River
Embark on an unforgettable journey as we set off from Cusco at 8 am, heading towards the Apurímac River – Puente Huallpachaca section. The four-hour drive will be a feast for the senses, allowing us to revel in the breathtaking landscapes of the Vilcanota and Apurímac rivers, as well as the majestic snow-capped peaks and awe-inspiring Andean mountain range.
By midday, at around 12 pm, we will arrive at our destination, where a fully prepared campsite and a delicious lunch await us. As excitement fills the air, we will gear up for a thrilling two-hour rafting adventure, navigating class 2-2+ rapids. After this exhilarating activity, we will reach our first pristine white sand campsite. Here, we will set up our tents, kitchen canopies, and restroom facilities, creating a comfortable base amidst the natural splendor.
As the day winds down, we will gather around a cozy campfire, immersing ourselves in the serenity of nature while our dinner is prepared. The tranquil ambiance and the captivating beauty of the surroundings will provide the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with relaxation and appreciation.
Day 2 – Thrilling Adventure on the Apurímac River: Rafting, Scenic Beauty, and Pristine Campsite
The day begins with a hearty breakfast to fuel our exciting activities, scheduled to start at 9 am. At this time, we will embark on a thrilling class 2-3 rafting experience that not only offers valuable lessons but also allows us to immerse ourselves in the breathtaking landscapes of the Apurímac Canyon and its exhilarating rapids. Along this stretch of the river, we will encounter a variety of rapids, as well as tranquil sections where we can appreciate the serenity of the canyon, embrace nature, and even engage in activities like swimming and leaping from the raft.
This exhilarating rafting adventure culminates with our arrival at a pristine and untouched white sand campsite. This campsite offers a unique sense of tranquility and natural beauty. Once we disembark and remove our river gear, we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch and proceed to set up our tents, canopies, and restroom facilities.
Día 3 – Thrilling Rapids and Scenic Delights: Unforgettable Finale
Our final day begins with a hearty breakfast, followed by packing up our river gear in preparation for the day’s activities. Brace yourself for an exhilarating experience as we embark on a rafting journey through class 2-3 rapids. Along the way, we will encounter sections of the river where children can safely swim in gentle class 2 rapids. Prepare to be captivated as we pause to admire cascading waterfalls, colonial bridges, diverse bird species, foxes, majestic condors, and playful river otters.
Around 1 pm, our rafting adventure will draw to a close, and our transportation bus will be waiting to take us back to the city of Cusco. During the journey, be prepared to witness one of the most awe-inspiring routes boasting magnificent views of the Apurímac River.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable expedition, take a moment to reflect on the unforgettable memories we have created, the adrenaline-pumping rapids we have conquered, and the breathtaking natural beauty that has surrounded us at every turn.
