Description:
We will start our adventure between 4:30 and 5 am, picking you up from your hotel. Once the group is assembled, we will head to Cusipata where we can have breakfast and recharge our energy. We will continue our journey to the district of Checacupe, where we will visit three bridges from different periods of Peru’s history.
After a brief tour and time to take photos, we will head towards the district of Tinta, where we can visit the house of the precursor of Peru’s independence: Tupac Amaru.
Then, we will take the road for 1.5 hours to the district of Q’ewe, where the famous Inca bridge Q’eswachaka is located. This bridge is made of vegetable fiber and has a length of approximately 30 meters. It is rebuilt every year in June by four communities (Hunchiri, Chaupibamda, Collanda Q’ewe, and Choccayhua).
We will have time to explore the area while a professional guide explains the importance and history of this significant Inca engineering feat. After visiting the Q’eswachaka bridge, we will head to the district of Yanahoca to visit the “dwarf volcano” in the village of Pabellones, and then continue to the viewpoint of the 4 lagoons: Misquicocha, Asnacqocha, Acopia, and Pomacanchi. Finally, we will make our way to Pomacanchi, where we will have lunch before returning to the city of Cusco.
