We will stop by your accommodation between 3:00 am – 3:30 am. (only for hotels located in the city center). After a 3-hour journey, we will arrive at the small yet picturesque town of Chivay to have breakfast before continuing towards Cruz del Cóndor, where we will delight in the majestic flight of the Condors. Our next destination is the city of Cabanaconde, situated at an altitude of 3,287 meters above sea level. Once we reach Cabanaconde, we will prepare ourselves to embark on our hike, passing through the beautiful Pampa de San Miguel, where we will catch a glimpse of the route we’ll be taking. We will descend from the canyon towards the annex of San Juan de Chuccho at an elevation of 2,300 meters above sea level. Approximately 4 hours from the Colca River, we will cross the hanging bridge, marveling at its diverse flora, including fruit trees, native plants, and medicinal herbs. We will make a necessary stop to enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Once we reach San Juan de Chuccho, we will proceed to our accommodation, where we can rest, have dinner, and prepare for our second day of hiking.
